Trouble with Magni The Bison
Okay, I think I have tried every build on the wiki discussion page (and even a few homebrews), and I cannot for the life of me beat Magni the Bison on my sin. Any and all advice is welcome!

I used YMLaD EVAS Necrosis and Critical Defense and Flashing Blades.
Try to move around a lot so that he wont hit and use the 2 blocks skills when he is close enough to hit you.

What's the best way to interrupt Bear Form?
I thought shadowstepping to him then using YMLaD would work, but he started using the skill mid-step and I didn't have enough time to interrupt it.

Main problem with blocking is that anytime I use Flashing Blades, he uses Irresistible Blow and kills me in seconds while I'm KD'd.
Have now tried 5 times with my sin, no problems with anyone (aside from taking forever to kill Mhenlo) except Magni.
Is there a good way to win using primarily Assassin skills, as opposed to a 90% secondary bar a la SoS?
I'm currently using:
Jagged Strike
Fox Fangs
Death Blossom
Moebius Strike
Critical Agility
Shadow Refuge
Dash
YMLaD

This really doesn't seem to address the problem.
Especially since you aren't packing any interrupts to deal with Bear Form, AND you're bringing a blocking skill which means the Irresistible Blow/Crushing Blow/Auspicious Blow combo is still going to work.
Plus all those enchantments just beg to be ripped apart before you even get to fight Magni, and require a huge energy pool.
The Jagged/Fox/Blossom/Moebius chain has beaten everyone leading up to Magni besides Mhenlo within seconds.
I've been able to interrupt Bear Form three times in a row, but still can't do enough damage to beat him before the hammer damage piles up.
I'm using a set of Nightstalker's Insignia, with Superior Dagger Mastery, Minor Critical Strikes, and Vitae runes.

I think you are overestimating how many of the people in the norn fighting tournament have enchantment removal, and like you said, JS/FF/DB chain kills everyone in seconds so it doesn't matter if the enchantments do get stripped in seconds.
As for the irresistible blow, yeah i forgot about that. Just replace critical eye with I am Unstoppable and you should be good. with 75% block and 30~ healing almost every time you hit, you shouldn't need to interrupt bear form.

AFAIK Khamu and Norgu are the only ones who can strip enchantments. And those skills, Rending Touch and Shatter Enchantment, have a 12 and 20s recharge respectivelly, and they only remove one enchantment. So, not sure it's such a big problem.
My personal take would be Jagged Strike, Fox Fangs, Death Blossom, plus Critical Eye, Critical Agility and Way of Perfection. I usually prefer zealous daggers of enchanting with 15^ench (15^50 can be acceptable too) -- Pywatt's Talons or Daggers of the Hierophant are good greens. For the other two slots I personally prefer either Shroud of Distress or Shadow Refuge, and Assassin's Remedy for condition removal. But an anti-KD can be useful too.
Disclaimer: haven't tried this build on the Norn Tournament.

That worked just fine for me. Had to try a few times to avoid a very specific enemies on the way to Bison (a few foes spam blindness). Otherwise Bison was very easy. The few hits that get through won't kill you.
While going /Rt is always foolproof, a lot of us are making a beeline to Xandra prior to being Ascended so the secondary change isn't always feasible.

I got tired of being expected to have individual skill every time I encountered an NPC skill quest, so I adopted the build "Any/Rit SoS skill quest NPC FU" as my gold go-to for face rolling easy mode.
OggjctgmITQTVTfT+glTdiXTxkA (I altered this one a little bit for something specific, but yeah..pretty much the same. I like using "You Move Like a Dwarf" instead of Finish Him!" sometimes too, the KD is nice!)
Never again will I have to learn how to play!!

The only skill you need is YMLAD as long as you can draw out his purge signet somehow. You can literally beat him by just spamming YMLAD, making sure to 'rupt purge signet.

If you're a new player like me that doesn't have all the custom skills people are talking about, I can confirm this build works just fine. Some battles leading up to the Bison might be harder, but he's a piece of cake.

That build is dangerous. If he gets lucky with two hits past critical defense, you're finished. Just use YMLAD and spirits, it's impossible to lose.
